Marking options
There are 8 of them – five for the bubble top version, three for the razorback one. Worth mentioning are from my perspective these:
RR227, Flown by S/Ldr. Otto Smik, CO of No. 127 Squadron, Grimbergen Airfield, Belgium, November, 1944 (razorback) – standard day fight scheme; Otto Smik, a Czechoslovak ace was killed in action while being at controls of this plane. Eduard offers a possible reconstruction of how Smik’s last plane could look like.

In case you don’t like the marking options, there are aftermarket decals available for you. An example is Kagero Top Colors.
Extras
You get two small frets of PE parts (one for each plane) and a pre-cut Kabuki mask for both planes and that’s all. That’s basically a standard for all Eduard’s Profipack kits including those packed with parts for two planes. The recently released Good Morning Na Dang F-4 Phantom Limited Edition kit comes with resin seats, wheels and exhaust nozzles. Frankly, I don’t quite understand what’s so limited in this Spitfire kit. It is more like a regular Dual Combo kit. It is even more disappointing if you realize that Eduard offers many extras for their Spitfire kits. If they called it a Limited Edition and it is their own kit, I think that they could have added at least the wheels. Thumbs down here.

Conclusion
Don’t get me wrong – even though I pinpointed several issues, they’re in fact minor ones. This is a very nice kit, one (two actually) that will be a pleasure to build. Eduard just picked a misleading range name that would better fit to their dual combo kits – as this basically is “just” a dual combo kit. Limited in this particular example means they most likely won’t release this combination of sprues and markings in one box again. You can take it or leave it. And always remember that life’s too short to waste it with poor kits :-).
