Our thanks to The Airbrush Company for supplying the review samples
If you’ve seen my review of this manufacturer’s 200L Oil Drum set (L3513) much of what I said there will be applicable to these excellent items. The diorama possibilities are endless and of course the main attraction for these great accessories will be to armour scale modellers. Especially given the huge volume of German WWII armour kits already on the market a new tool for these Jerrycans will always be welcomed. The package
There’s more in this package than you might expect: two identical sprues carrying the main Jerrycans, PLUS an etch fret containing fine details for the same PLUS a small decal sheet for markings and what you have here are some beautifully tooled accessories that will add greatly to your display base or diorama.
Quality
Very crisply moulded grey parts that show no signs of flash. The detail is very fine indeed and it’s hard to imagine any fit issues! A nice touch is the individual as well as small banks of Jerrycans – as if stacked neatly in a line – very thoughtful. The decals look well printed and on thin carrier film. Some of you may choose to spray-paint these simple white crosses, but the decals should work equally well?
Instructions
As per usual with this manufacturer, they have taken the opportunity to use the option for colour printing the exploded view instructions on the reverse of the kit box. A painting guide is also included and very helpful advice given.
Overall
Highly recommended. These Jerrycans will add greatly to just about any display base or scene you might like to create.
