Our thanks to AMMO of Mig Jimenez for sending through our review samples – find out all the details of the full range and prices etc on their excellent AMMO of Mig Jimenez website
It seems almost impossible to keep up with the pace at which AMMO of Mig Jimenez is releasing their sets and other products. We’ve already begun to use some of these in our modelling projects as well as some of the advanced projects for our new on-line only Mag www.outofthisworldnow.com due to go ‘live’ in the first half of 2016 – check it out if you are even remotely interested in Sc-Fi, movies, Forgeworld, Fantasy and all that!
These new sets are really useful in many ways, not least they bring together all the colours that you’ll need for specific projects, saving time searching for just the right tone or colour you’re looking for. The price is reasonable too given that each set has six bottles included.
The paints are designed to be hand brush painted or airbrushed on, using the thinner and primer available separately.
The quality and consistency of the paint looks to be very good and it’s great to see some metallic tones in here too but as acrylics and not lacquers.
The best thing we can do is try to use these paints and you will be able to see how we get on, so keep an eye on Build Now and their use on the models there.
