This is a new tone in the ever-increasing range from Alclad2 – Chrome Black (ALC-124). We have used these excellent metallic-effect lacquers ever since we started SMN (and before!), so you’ll find many ‘silver’ painted aircraft in Finished Now that feature Alclad2 ‘paint’.
Black Chrome seems to have a slightly darker and more depth than the basic Chrome tone also available in the range. I would recommend applying this lacquer over gloss black – either Alclad’s own Gloss Black base or Tamiya Gloss Black acrylic paint – both will give you a high-shine chrome finish.
You’ll find a lot of help with how to use these lacquers that can only be sprayed in your Model Painting and Airbrushing Techniques Bank area.
Little-cars is a great supplier in the UK for these lacquers and I recommend making a visit using the above link direct to their website where you can find out all the information you need to be able to get hold of these great metallic lacquers.
