As my compressor fell off its resting place and broke the cast case so I had to find a replacement. After checking the internet for various brands and types I decided that I would go for an AS type of airbrush compressor from www.everythingairbrush.com but first decided to ring them for some advice. Having talked to the sales guy and telling him what I wanted the compressor to do and which one I thought I wanted, he pointed me in the direction of the AB-AS186 which was a cheaper option and would do all I required.
Having placed the order it was here next day! Outstanding service.
Suitable for model making, tanning, airbrush art, Tattoo and even cake decoration.
Features
- Portable and lightweight 5.2Kg
- Low Noise
- Pressure adjustable
- Over pressure protection
- Thermal protection
- Auto stop
- Constant pressure and no pulsation
The compressor consists of a single cylinder piston with a 1/5h.p. motor wired for 220/240v 50HZ (But can be 110-120v, 220v /60 HZ) and has a max pressure of 7 bar or 100psi. The air output is 23/min with an auto start at 30psi, stop at 60psi and safety release comes in when pressure goes to over 6 bar in the 3 litre tank. The tank is fitted with a Pressure regulator and a gauge with 1/8”BSP pipe fitting.
The overall size is 310 x 130 x 310.
Connected to an Iwata highline and the premier air airbrushes it operates well with a constant airflow and with the variable pressure setting, all of my model paints sprayed well in the test runs. It’s not silent but it is quiet and it only cuts in when the pressure drops as stated above. The rubber mounting feet keep I firmly anchored to the floor and the carrying handle at the top of the unit is very useful for moving it.
All in all a very nice bit of kit at a reasonable price. Recommended.
