Rubber included
The tyres are supplied as rubber items and I for one am fine with that. These are easily prepared and can be made to look very realistic – I’ll show you what I do when I get to the build that’s on the way. Or, you can look in your SMN Techniques Bank for a demo on how to tackle these items that modellers seem to love or hate!
Chrome parts
This time the wheels are supplied in that impressive-looking ‘brushed-alloy’ style and look very impressive, perhaps the best part of this kit. I would be very happy to use them as supplied as they will enhance your model no end.
Clear parts
The clear parts look generally very clear and defect-free. The main windscreen has the black trim edging moulded on. The separate headlight clear parts do look slightly cloudy and I’ll check these out against references later and polish them if needs be.
Instructions
Should you want to paint your Ford GT, the instructions feature a colour and painting guidance and all in all the instructions are perfectly adequate.
Decals (and stickers)
Good quality of offer here. Markings in register and colour looks good. What’s included really covers various number plates different countries. No seatbelt harness is represented so you’ll have to supply these from your own resources.
Conclusion
This is a great subject and it’s very good to have this 1:24 scale Ford GT available once again. This model will provide all model car fans, especially those with an interest in super-cars with a great new addition to their collection.
The model itself looks to be well engineered. Moulding is good and this just looks like a fun build!

A little bit about the Ford GT
The Ford GT is an American mid-engine two-seater sports car manufactured and marketed by Ford for model year 2005 in conjunction with the company’s 2003 centenary — and again in redesigned form for model year 2017.
The GT recalls Ford’s historically significant GT40, consecutive four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1966-1969), including a 1-2-3 finish in 1966.
