Some of the railings provided by Eduard are individual stanchions, and require the horizontal section threading through the eyelets (two of them), I used stretched sprue. Once threaded through the lead end was tacked with superglue and each of following stanchions using a cocktail stick to apply the tiny amount of glue, this was lightly sprayed with superglue accelerator before carefully trimming away excess sprue.
The kit anchor chains although pretty good were replaced with actual chain, I used L’Arsenal CH257 5.5 mallions/cm for main anchor chain and finer CH250 16 mallions/cm. You will have to drill a hole into the deck directly behind the steam deck winch kit Assembly 91 – the chains go from anchors back over the winch then drop vertically down into the deck, these openings are missing in Revell’s kit.
