Moving on I started on the remaining weapons, Depth Charge racks ( two of on Stern), and 0.303 twin machine guns ( x 2), 20mm Oerlikon Guns ( x 2), 2 pounder QF Mk8 gun and 4inch gun (on Bow).
Starting with the straightforward parts, the twin 0.303 machine guns I simply followed the Eduard instructions replacing kit parts with replacements in photo etch. This was the same for the 20mm Oerlikon guns and depth charge racks although on the latter I completely replaced the kit depth charges with rod tubular plastic rod of the same diameter and fitted Eduard end plate parts to those. All of the Depth Charges were left separate and were painted before insertion into the rack assemblies. The 2 ponder gun is the Canadian version of this weapon (Snowberry was a Canadian built Flower) and so Eduard’s instructions are correct but if you’re building a Royal Navy vessel fitted with this weapon the gun shield is folded differently, it’s the same part but simpler design ( check references).
