First thoughts…
Well… aren’t we the lucky ones? The famous duo – Spitfire and Hurricane in 1:32 scale! Yes, of course we’ve had them in the past, Revell have held the fort here for a long time. But with Tamiya releasing their truly magnificent Mk.IXc Spit in this scale at the end of 2009 (see Finished Now for not one, but TWO full reviews on the Tamiya offering) and now Pacific Coast Models (PCM) bringing out a very respectable representation of Hawker’s iconic Hurricane in early guise, you have to say that Wow! Aren’t we the lucky ones?
It’s always astonished me that none of the major injection-mould manufacturers has seen the sales potential of producing a state of the art Hawker Hurricane, but PCM has now largely filled that gap with this new tool, mixed media kit that will appeal to large numbers of WWII scale modellers, and at a respectable retail price too.
