Jorge Bernardos says
Any advice about how to paint the round ejection handle that there is between the legs in many fighters, as the F 18?
Geoff Coughlin says
Hi Jorge
I think a lot depends on scale for me – the bigger the scale it may be easy to paint them in situ on the seat but with smaller scales like 1:72 or even 1:48 try and paint them off the model (they are usually separate parts?). If they are, say, yellow/black paint the whole thing yellow first – I generally use Citadel Colour (Games Workshop) paints and use a fine, small pointed brush. Then when the yellow is dry, use a black ink pen to touch in the tiny ‘stripes’ (more like dots in the scale) and this can look very effective.
I’ll prepare a piece for the SMN Techniques Bank showing these steps soon :) Best wishes, Geoff
