I must confess that a Supermarine Walrus Mk.I would not normally have been top of my list of projects to build. But at the IPMS show last year I saw this kit on the HpH Models stand and it took my fancy in a big way.
It has taken HPH some time to produce it since the show but finally it arrived in a sturdy cardboard box a month or so ago. I reviewed the box contents in some detail so I will not dwell on that again but you can see my full Here Now kit review of the Supermarine Walrus Mk.I
I know little or nothing about the Walrus. I was hoping that the CD from Aero Details would be of assistance. It only covers the exterior of a restored aircraft, I guess at Yeovilton, and the photographs are atrocious. As this relies purely on the quality of the pics as there is no detail I cannot imagine how such images could be allowed to be published and sold to us punters.
More is available on the internet but the interior detail is sparse so I am just trying to guess at the colours used at the time.
