Canopies & clear parts
with Howard Kilburn
A note from Geoff C…
Many thanks to Howard K for sending this one through and so simple! Don’t you love simple fixes for things? I know I do :)
Over to you Howard…
Can’t quite remember where I originally saw this tip but it seems to work well. Although facial wipes are shown in the picture I prefer baby wipes as they seem a little softer ( I suppose they would 🤔).
All you do is use a moist wipe to polish the canopy, I then carefully dry it with some kitchen towel. The beauty of these products is that they don’t affect the painted areas of the canopy or surrounding painted areas and won’t affect the original matt or whatever finish has been applied.
As simple as that!

Geoff C again…
I thought that I could show you how I clean my canopies using Howard’s technique above…
Here I’m using Johnson’s Make Up Be Gone facial wipes, but I’m sure you can use any other brand whose wipes are designed as facial wipes.

Warning: …better these softer facial or baby wipes than general household surface wipes that can be impregnated with much stronger, aggressive substances that might damage your kit!
