A medium sanding pad soon had the job done, checking the fit of the boot lid and bonnet before being painted brought up a small problem with the bonnet, it is slightly too big to fit properly. After being painted this would have made it even worse, and would have resulted in a bonnet sticking proud of the body. A few minutes sanding around the edges and then test-fitting until I was happy with the fit.
The boot lid also needed the same attention, it was worse at the back edge on the boot lid, sticking up quite proud of the body lines. Taking a sharp scalpel blade and running it across the underneath of the boot lid, and then test-fitting and repeating until I was happy with the fit of it.
The hinges for the bonnet and boot lid were fitted at this stage, even though the instructions show them in section 38 and 39 being fitted after everything has been painted.

I would say this is a stunning build.
