The rest of the chassis was completed by fitting the front and rear suspension and driveshafts. The rear suspension consists of two parts for each side, the radius arms and the dampers. The chassis was used as a jig to fix the dampers onto the base of the radius arms and left to dry before removing the complete suspension so it could be painted satin black as one complete unit.
At the front there is the left and right steering arms to fit followed by the connecting arm, which were first airbrushed satin black before fitting them the driveshafts. The bottom differential cover were first painted using Testor’s Steel and the driveshafts brush-painted Aluminium. Finally the rubber joint covers were picked out in flat black. These are fitted to the subframe which had been airbrushed in satin black and fixed into place using 5 minute epoxy and a few spring clamps to hold everything in place while the glue dried.
The exhaust system, wheels and tow bar were fitted to finish off the chassis.
